Woodcarving Class at Roadhead

Garden seats made with the Reiver Arts and Crafts Society at Roadhead, Cumbria

Cociduis - roman shrine found at Bewcastle

Cassop School , Coxhoe, Co. Durham

Seats and posts carved with a poem called "Listen" by John Cotton

Silence is when you can hear things

Listen;

The breathing of bees,

A moth's football,

Or the mist easing its way

Across a field,

The light shifting at dawn

Or the stars clicking into place

At evening.

Louise's Waymarker

I was invited to make a totem pole with the learning support staff and students at Ullswater Community College in Penrith. The totem pole was made in memory of Louise, who's favourite pastimes included fellwalking and nature rambles. The students drew and caved images to those themes.

Thanks Martin
